Cape looks Good in Tipperary opener
He was a horse who always worked really nice and we always thought he was a smart horse. His first two runs were a bit disappointing really and it just took him a while to get it together mentally and he's doing it now. He did it nicely and is a gorgeous horse and when he matures and fills out physically he'll be better again.
Rionach flies home for maiden success
we only got her at Christmas and we thought a lot of her at home and she has done very well physically. We have been waiting for a bit of nice ground for her as she is a very good moving filly. We put the hood on her as she was a little too enthusiastic early in her races and it has doen the job today as she switched off and hit the line well. We'll see what the handicapper does but Robert (Moran, owner) breeds horses and hopefully she can get some black-type and be a valuable mare in time. It's great because they are here from Florida and have a place in west Cork and come over for the summer; they flew in in a helicopter today because they don't like the windy roads!
Three for O'Brien as Force outclasses his rivals
He had a lovely run in Ascot and the plan is to go for the six furlongs July Stakes at Newmarket next.
Mulvany and Coen combine for Tipperary success
it was nice to get it as I thought she was a little unlucky the last day at Leopardstown when she got cut off when coming with a run. I don't know where to go now but we'll see what's there for her and she seems to be improving all the time. That's Ben's first winner for me and he had ridden a couple of placed horses for me. I think he's a very good young fellow and he is the future if he can keep his weight down. I think he's well worth his 7lbs claim.
Sasa too good for Wicklow in the Grimes Hurdle
Cadawill springs a surprise under Lynch for Sweeney
He is earning a bit of money the whole time the devil and Andrew (Lynch) is the only man that gets on with him and is able to wind him up. He didn't do a tap the last two times and we always thought he wanted good ground but he won on heavy ground in the past also. But it depends which Cadawill turns up!
Lied an easy winner of the last at Tipperary
