Cedar Rapids delivers for Hogan and Sheridan
Hayes and Nova strike again
He had a lovely run here on his last run, running on real well when the race wasn't run to suit. We were disappointed he got balloted out of Galway last week but he made up for it today so it's lovely. Amy Jo gave him a great ride, she gets a great tune out of him, and he ran to the line really well for her. When he's at this level he's very competitive and pays his way. We'll see what the owners want to do but he might even get a break now and save him for Dundalk for the winter.
Bolger eyes premier handicap for Dancila
Maybe he prefers going left-handed,. A mile-and-a-quarter upwards is all the same to him. He could go for a premier handicap now.
Gear Up brings up O'Brien's across-the-card double
It was a good tough performance. He's been improving with each run all year and I'd say that's as good as he's been all year. I think a mile-and-a-half is probably his perfect trip. I'm very pleased with the win. He ran well the last day but I think a mile-and-a-half is probably his optimum distance. Dylan gave him a lovely uncomplicated ride. This lad always fights and he fought on hard today. There is the Kilternan Stakes back here on Champions Weekend and he's also in the Caulfield Cup. I'm not sure if he can do both. I think the quarantine may start before the Kilternan, so it might be one or the other.
Bingo makes big impression on debut
He's a nice horse. I came back after my holiday last winter and and there were about 12 or 15 of that type in the yard and I went jaysus who bought all the jump horses!. I said one of them will pay for the others. We knew we liked him, he's very much a baby and that's as quick as he'd want it. It's lovely ground out there and he loved it. He wants 10 furlongs minimum but I'd say you won't see the best of him until next year, if we still have him. I was going to wait another month with him, we've no big plans with him and I'll just let him tell us. He's very much on the leg and I'm getting a bit impatient as I have a load of two-year-olds the same.
Mads Black Eights delights Smith
I'm delighted for Alan (Morrell) and his wife Sheila,. They've been very patient with the filly, they had plenty of faith in her and gave her plenty of chances. She has plenty of ability and Declan gave her a great ride, he took his time on her. Her dam (Boynagh Joy) was good and Alan bred her, that's why he persevered with her. She has shown snippets of form, we tried a tongue-tie on her the last day and she didn't like it. She ran a couple of good races at Dundalk during the winter, she got a bump one night and I think it frightened her. She's genuine, tough, and showed a nice little turn of foot there. We'll look for something similar.

Lee boots home Rich Belief
It was very straightforward and there are no hard luck stories around a big track like this. If everything goes right he's not a bad horse on his day. The ground went for him in Galway and from the draw he got a bit crowded as well. He'll probably go to Perth now, there is a good hurdle there for him in nine days time.
