Juncture keeps good week going for Lyons and Keane
We're very happy with that,. She was green the first day as you'd expect and we gave her a two week break. She enjoyed herself and we were a little worried that she might be a little stuffy for it. Hopefully she'll improve again for that. That trip is ideal and she'll get a little bit further. That was the first box ticked, we'll see where we go now as it's going to be a long year with her.
Leopardstown win secured and on to Gowran now for Overheer
That was well deserved. He's in Gowran on Monday and he'll probably run there,. He's very honest and has been unlucky a few times. He's a lovely horse to have, very genuine and I'm delighted for the horse.
Boost for Connaughton as Eagle's Flight delivers for Halford and Whelan
We dropped him back in trip as he was a bit hard on himself in his races, for a horse that is so quiet at home,. He was drawn so wide that he had no choice but to take his time on him. He got him rolling and he did it well. He's a very straight-forward, honest horse. He's quite big so he's probably after strengthening up now. I wouldn't rule out stepping him back up in trip in time but at that level he was well able for it. I'm delighted for Johnny Connaughton who is a good owner of ours and also has Bear Story with us, who has been running well. That'll give him a bit of a boost and the owners have been wonderful when you think how long it's been since they've been able to get to the races. That'll give him a lift as he bred him as well.
Magnanimous takes it to another level in the Glencairn
Comer in clover at Leopardstown again with He Knows No Fear
if you’re heading in the right direction, it’s only a question of time until you make your money: time and patience and, of course, the ability to hold on. The Galway native trained his first winner since August when He Knows No Fear (11/1) took the Monkstown Handicap at Leopardstown.
Morph Speed progresses for another win
O'Brien one two three and on to Irish Derby now for Fernando
He had a good run the last day and we always knew he was going to be a mile-and-a-half horse, at least. Gavin gave him a lovely ride today, he got a nice easy lead but he quickened up well. He put lengths on them and then got a little bit lazy in the last half furlong. I thought it was a good performance. I think he's earned a shot at the Irish Derby now, that looks like the obvious target. He's a horse that stays very well and I wouldn't be surprised if we step him up again after that.
229/1 Leopardstown double for Scott McCullagh
