Third Time Lucky at Galway for Tasman
A lot of praise must go to Andrew Lynch who is out injured. He schooled this horse extensively at home. We won't be in a hurry to run him again and we'll just enjoy today. Marie Cusack, the owner, lost her husband, John, through serious illness last year so I'm delighted for her.
He is improving all the time. I was a little bit worried about the trip and the seven pound penalty. He could go for the Kerry National and as he proved there that he comes up the hill he could be a Galway Plate horse for next year.

Indian Pace Lands Gamble
After the Pierce Hurdle we always had this in mind. We thought this race would suit him provided the ground wasn't too quick. We gave him a couple of races on the flat in preparation and the blinkers kept him going. Paul gave him a grand ride. He's an up and coming young rider and his five pound claim made the difference. Indian Pace will probably go chasing towards the end of the year.
