Oscar takes back Invitation to Lass
It's nice to get and she's owned by a locally based Waterford syndicate. They're all related and it's headed up by a fella that used to work for me, Frank Quinlan. He went selling cars when things picked up recently. The ground was okay but she wouldn't want it any quicker. She'd been running well if a little keen. She has ability but she has a history of leg problems. We went three months without a runner because of the fast ground and they've been running well since we started back.
Sir Abbot gets the job done
It was workmanlike but it blew away the cobwebs. Philip (Enright, winning rider) said he travelled well down the hill but he needed the run a little bit. We might look for a winners hurdle for him next,.
Supreme hit 50
I was hoping the trip would work (going markedly further than in the past) but he got great help from the saddle,. He had a hard enough time of it, he's been on the go a long time. That'll probably take a bit out of him so he'll have a break.
Dame has plenty smiling
Alan is away in Spain on holidays but I told him to have an interest in her. I bought her in Brightwells off Darley and she's very well bred. She's a half-sister to four black-type horses.
McManus doubles up as Fever Pitch perfect
I was looking at the programme after his last run and this race jumped out at me. He won here before and he's a super jumper so we said we'd capitalise on that out in front. He got a very good drive,. He likes time between his races and we'll run him back in early December.
Fairy takes to larger obstacles with aplomb
Tyner and Casey double up with Change
He's in again at Thurles next Thursday but he's highly unlikely to run. It'll come a bit soon and I only had him in in case something happened him today (a possible early mishap).
