Kuramathi springs surprise in opener at Tipp
He did a good bit of work last Sunday morning but I thought he was a gallop away (from running) and I normally prefer to get a gallop against the older horses with them. It wasn't the best maiden but all he can do is win and I think he'll improve. He'll go for the Nursery over six furlongs at the Curragh next on Oaks weekend.

I can't make him out but he has plenty ability. He sulked the last day but is better suited by small fields and keeping on his own a bit and Bill (Lee) kept him over a bit.

Russian appreciates step up in trip
He is still only a child but last year was clueless! . He is almost 17hh and his run at Gowran the last day was the first time he had ever shown any spark. I was hoping he would improve with the step up in trip and he can step up again and should have no problem staying a mile and six. He just got away with today's ground.
