Whiteout made to work hard by Miss
Another for Townend as Rocky comes good
The owner isn't here tonight as he lost a bit of heart in him. He didn't want to run. He ran awful bad in Galway. Barry (Geraghty) said then he'd never win a maiden and wanted three miles.I half went with him after that and ran over two-and-a-half but something wasn't weighing up and sometimes you have to go with your own instincts. The ground just went against him on his last two runs. He wants good ground. My home place is in Stamullen not far from here and I know this place can dry out in three hours.
Effernock battles gamely to score
He's had a few problems. He ran well in Sligo when he needed the run on his first run back. In Wexford he pulled too hard and didn't get the two-and-a-half miles. He was just running too freely and not getting home. He did win over 2m5f in the past but it was a slowly run race and the main thing was dropping him back in trip today.
Friendless Jarob wins Bellewstown feature
I thought the ground had gone yesterday for him when I seen the heavens open and was thinking of not running. He hadn't run in three months though so I thought I'd give him a run. He might go to Listowel now as long as it doesn't go too heavy. He could go back over fences then. He hasn't really been taking on his fences but he's a good jumper when he meets them right. He could be an Irish National horse in time.
Murphy back in winners enclosure with Fields
I was hoping it would go to script. He was entitled to do that off his rating of 118,. I'm sure sure where we'll go with him now and I'll see what the lads say but I'd imagine we'll wheel on away with him. I'm not sure if he'll go chasing sooner or later but he wants a fence and three miles plus would be up his alley.
Barry & Hourigan team-up with Tradewinds
The owner (Colin Gray) is based in America and called us one day and gave us two horses. He's been there or thereabouts with horses but I think that's his first winner. All this horse does is keep galloping and he has been unlucky on his last few runs. He's in the sales at Doncaster.
