Della returns in style
She done it really well considering that we thought she'd need it. She fractured a cannon-bone and took a long time to come right. Gary said she felt good and might come on a bit from it as she was having a good blow afterwards.
Halford & Carroll double-up
He is a very nice horse and we got him the back-end of last year. He is big and still a bit babyish but we've always liked him and he's always shown plenty at home. We're just delighted to get him started. It wasn't the plan to make the running but Gary said he jumped well and settled in front and he picked up and stretched well. He has got plenty of size and scope and I'd expect him to come on plenty for this. We have him in the National Stakes and we'll have to discuss where we'll go next. I also have a Dubawi colt for Sheikh Mohammed. He is a May foal and not as well forward at the moment.
Carroll three from three at Tipp
She's a lovely game little filly and she is in at Galway on Monday and she might go there.
India bound Lane doubles Morgan's score
The two fillies there were covered within a day of each other. Miss Gorica may run again on Sunday at the Curragh. Fourpenny Lane is in foal to Verglas and she is owned by Harresh Mehta from India (bought her for €100,000 at Goffs last year). She goes to India now and is probably the best filly in foal ever to be sent there.
Sky toughs it out at Tipp
She is as tough as nails and Keagan said there is very few that can pull like that and still fight at the end. She is a real summer filly and we'll either try to step her up to Listed or leave her to next year as she still has a bit of growing to do.
Another of Tropical's offspring scores
She'll stay handicapping for the moment and I think we'll step her up in trip.
