Lascalahall gains deserved win
it was an ordinary enough contest but he deserved the win following his placed runs. We decided to make the running with him today due to his experience and the plan worked out. He'll go back handicapping again now but probably won't stay in training over the summer.

Cloughmile wins for in-form Hourigan
Cloughmile won a point to point and was second in a hunters chase here in January. She might not be too bad and Sean (McDermott) said she may improve on better ground. She may run next in a winners' race at Limerick in a few weeks time.

Cochise lost his form a bit and we sent him hunting to help freshen him up. He likes Thurles, has won here before, and will go for something similar again next . Johnny (Levins) gave him a super ride.

Band Leader had a good debut run here but went backwards after that and 'panicked' in his races. He ran too free the last day but we had him operated for his wind and he enjoys it much better out in front.
