Corstorphine lands a gamble for Oxx
I thought he'd run well in the Curragh but he didn't run much of a race really. He's been working well since and I thought he'd be in the money today. He's a good genuine type and stays the trip well. We'll put him in something better now and see how he gets on.
Templar edges apprentice thriller
It was a nice race for him as he likes small fields and we were hopeful today,. He was in good form coming here but he's a horse that everything has to go right with. He maybe hit the front too soon but got away with it. He was second over 1m1f in Galway before and we'll see. He's not a horse to run back quickly.
Tanaza too good for Alice in the Silver Flash
It was a very good performance by her. She's just class. She has a lot pace and is bred to carry it over a distance. She's a filly that we've always said will appreciate a little more ease than there was this evening. A lot of Dubawi's want an ease. She stays well and is bred to stay really well but she has gears and always had them. I'd say that was a pretty good renewal of the race as they ran along. She has lots of pace and I see her a miler. That's as far as we'll ask her to go. Pat rode her from a long way off the pace and full of confidence. She'd win over five furlongs the same way she'd win over seven and the good ones do that.
Odds-on Sanus beaten by Deauville
He's tough - he's a hardy, tough horse. It's a good while since he ran. He was going to go to the Chesham but had a little setback and that's why he ended up coming here. He stays and Joseph said he was very green. He'll probably have learned a lot from today. He stuck his head out and is a typical Galileo.
Brown Pulls clear in style
.He's learning his game. He got mugged a little bit the last day. He was a little immature and is still immature,.
Hurricane Sky does it again at Leopardstown
He's actually improving at the age of six. I thought with the 8lb for winning and another 4lb for being placed we might be running out of road. The race panned out for him and it was like a good bit of work.
Castle bounces back to his best
They went very fast. He's a very genuine horse. He tends to hit the gates well and get to the front but when something takes him on he can do too much. We knew there would be plenty of pace so decided to sit wide and get a lead for a change. It worked out well. That's probably his ideal trip. He wants to win and that's a big thing. He's a lovely solid horse. He's in the Topaz Mile at Galway and I have him in a maiden hurdle down there as well. We'll get him home and see how he is.
