Warbucks strikes for Maguire and Hassett
He's a big horse and it's taking all this time for him to come to himself. If you don't have patience in this game you have nothing,. I have to thank the owners Joe and Ann O'Keefe for their patience. I've had him since he won his point-to-point and he's now fulfilling what we thought of him. It's great to have Shane coming in and schooling these horses and riding with confidence.
Coolcashin opens chasing account
He's a light framed horse and I didn't think he'd make a chaser,. But he was very good there, very clever, and looks a natural. He gave an exhibition of jumping. I actually gave him a pop this morning so it would be on his mind. Tom gave him a marvellous ride.
Oscar edges thriller in handicap chase
Listowel was his day and from there we're just potholing,. If the ground gets heavy we might put him away - I'll see what the weather does. He has been known to jump a cross country fence so there might be something else for him down the road.
Appeal battles well to score
We let him off after his last run with a view to going hurdling and he has grown since he was out,. He would be better around Navan or Leopardstown, this track woulldn't really suit. It was more greeness than anything that he dropped back though. He stays well and jumps will and will go on soft ground. I'll try and not overrun him. He's won now so we can stay quiet for a while.
Nina shines on Outlaw
I suppose we'll see what way the handicapper treats him. It was an ordinary race and he was getting 8lb,. He's not an easy ride and wasn't easy for young JP (Magnier) in bumpers as he was a bit free and ducked around. He had a wind op in the middle of last spring and towards the end of the spring needed the break.
Easy for Dan Dan in Vendee
He needs a lead and the fact that Clicksnmortar went on, that's what he wants,. He had to make his own pace at Navan and that's what beat him. It was also his second run today and he was fit. He won handy but Ruby was very good as usual. We'll see if there is another race like this or a staying hurdle. I had novice chasing in my head but I don't know now after that. It's probably up in the air.
Sneezer gets home in last
He has no respect for hurdles and is a difficult ride. I don't think Stephen had a nice time out there!. He jumps fences better. He's won a couple of hurdles now so we'll go chasing again with him.
