Court Adjourned finally comes good in mares maiden
That has been a while coming but she is tough and genuine and has been running competitively off her mark in 0-95 handicaps. I thought the way the race broke up that it would be run to suit her and the ground is still lively. She has been on the go a while now and we might give her a break but it will depend on the ground. She could go back over fences too and has a nice mark. She is a good lump of a strong mare so we might go down that route.
Fleurys Fort surprises connections with sixth win
He was going home tomorrow for the winter as he is normally out of the winter and he's not even clipped. We'll see now and we might get another spin out of him and maybe he might be back here again. He has six races won and hopefully he'll go again if we get him mentally right more than anything. Not too many horses win six.
Blackmore adds to her tally with well-backed Commandant
He is a nice big, good looking horse in a low grade race and I'd say the better ground today suited him compared to what he had been running on previously. Obviously he is getting older and is maturing and he'll jump a fence for sure. I guess he'll be better when he jumps a fence as he jumps well. He has a tendency to be keen and settled there today. That helped him finish out the race a bit and Rachael gave him a great ride. He is in here again on Thursday and will probably come and will then probably jump a fence.
Mullins doubles up with Westport in bumper
We didn't think we'd have to wait this long to win a bumper and I'm not sure what happened her the last day but we think she is a mare with a bit of ability. She reared over and broke her wither last year but it doesn't seem to have left any ill affects. I imagine she'll go jumping now and it's great to get a win for a new owner Cathal Hughes, from Westport. He has a big business (safety clothing and workwear manufacturer Portwest) in Mayo and she is his first horse with us. She has a fantastic pedigree and she'll make a nice broodmare in time too.
