Aerlite is Supreme at misty Thurles
He jumped quite well throughout. Barry said he blew up a bit but with his jumping he was able to fill up his lungs. He jumped much better today than he did in Limerick. He was attacking his fences today. We've schooled him well since but you can't beat a run. I'm going to chance running him in the Drinmore. He did it all over hurdles, he won three, and I think you will see the best of him chasing. Three miles will be no problem to him, and he can always go back to Limerick at Christmas. If he's alright in the morning he'll go to Fairyhouse next.
Farm takes advantage of Cyclone mishap
His form, third in an Irish National, before he came to us was rock solid. He had a wind op before he came to me and I'd say that's made a tremendous difference to him. I'm delighted to get him, he's a lovely horse and jumps amazing. David said he was a little keen throughout but he gave him a super ride. This was a starting point to see where we are with him. You can do everything at home but it's not until you are out on the track that you can really see where you are going. We'll see what the handicapper thinks after that today, and work from there. He was fifth in the Paddy Power last Christmas and that was the original plan, so we'll have to discuss things with Chris (Jones, owner) and see where we go. He should be an ideal candidate for Aintree and the better the ground the better he is. If it came up goodish I'd say he'd love it around there.
Drum completes Geraghty/Hourigan double
It was a true run race and I was worried about the horse in front (Bosman Rule) for a while as he was winging hurdles. Barry said you'd question him on very heavy ground but he can't do any more than he did and, if we can live long enough, he'll make a nice chaser!. He'll go for the Dorans Pride Hurdle at Limerick over Christmas now.
Anna stays on strongly in mares maiden
My horses were sick when she ran in her bumper and that run made her look bad. But she won her point-to-point maiden on her second run and then beat the boys handy on her third start on a good course (Lingstown). She'll go for a winners' of one at Christmas time next.
Deano does the biz for Hallahan
He'll go for something similar next over two miles or two and a half. He is owned and bred by my dad (Con) and may jump a fence in the spring, when the ground dries up.
Western confirms Promise off nice mark
He is nice and progressive and seems to have turned a corner since I put blinkers on him. He had 10 or 15 runs before I got him and looked moderate but he wants a trip and it took me a while to figure him out. He'll go for something similar next, maybe before Christmas and depending on how he comes out of this.
Bells just lands the odds in a thriller
He made hard work of it and raced very keen throughout and hadn't as much in reserve. Hopefully he will improve and win his winners' bumper.
