Hogan on the mark with Beautiful Ben
That's more the real horse. He won his maiden at Wexford last year and I thought he'd go on from it but it was hard for him to go straight into handicap company. It took us a while to figure him out and he wore a first-time tongue-tie today and pinged the last three hurdles, which was the winning of it. Anne Grace, my travelling head lass, is the key to him as she gets him relaxed at the races.
Rocky takes the feature under Mullins
Buster makes all under Kennedy
Eoin O'Sullivan, son of the owner Noel, has been riding him out for me at home and the horse means everything to him. It was Jack's (Kennedy) first ride for me and is great value for his seven pounds claim.
Quick double for Burke as Prince just prevails
He was second at Wexford just 11 days ago and I was afraid it would come a bit too soon today. Things have gone very competitive at the moment and even though that was only a 0-102, it was still competitive. He's in at Tipperary on Sunday but a lot will depend on what the handicapper does - he only won by a head so hopefully won't go up too much. I'm delighted for his owner Michael O'Donoghue, an 85 year old publican from Knockraha, (Co Cork) who bred him and also had the (horse's) family back along.
Outsider Pashtunwali beats favourite Avichi
It took him a while for the penny to drop and he wasn't running to expectations on his last two runs - he hung at Clonmel the last day and this flat, left-handed track suited him more. He'll go straight over hurdles now and will be a nice hurdler for the summer. That's Finny's first ride for me although he was due to ride three others but they were non-runners! . He gave the horse a peach and went the shortest way around the whole way.
