Bonarc gets deserved day in the sun
She lost a race last year due to a human anti-depressant drug showing up in her sample. In fairness to the Turf Club they gave me no fine but it was very unlucky for the owners to lose. It was terrible but they were even able to identify the person who was taking it,. It ruined her season last season and we were always chasing our tail but we'll turn over a new leaf now. We'll go for the novice route now. Danny was absolutely brilliant on her.
Ryan double as Fitzgerald makes dream start as a pro
That is Shane's first ride as a professional jockey, he comes into me a few mornings a week and is also with Joseph O'Brien and Eugene O'Sullivan; he is going to be top class and there's a big career ahead of him,. That is a brilliant horse, his homework is absolutely brilliant and he brought it to the races today thank god. He threw away a race here a few months ago when he was full of horse but cocked his jaw and went to run out. It was no shock to us and the ground helped and he won easy.

Punters Poet comes good for patient connections
It is nice to finally get that and fair play to the lads (Poetic Ten Syndicate) who have put a lot of time and money into him. They are from around Tullamore and have been very patient,. He works well at home and was running on the flat at Dundalk but I don't think he was letting himself down. He has plenty of gears and I said to Keith to come up with a plan to get him to win and he gave him a great ride. I'm delighted for the Brazils who stand his sire Urban Poet, who produced One Cool Poet, and they also bred this horse.
Donoghue trains first racecourse winner
I want to say a big thanks to my partner Danielle Deveney who rides him out and does all the work with him. We have 20 horses in, it is only myself and herself so I couldn't do it without her - she is unreal. I used to be a jockey, was a jockeys' agent when I had Bryan Cooper and a lot of good lads but I'm doing what I love now - I absolutely love this and love horses. I said the last day to (jockey) Sean Flanagan that he was the best 80 rated horse I've ever ridden so I wasn't one bit surprised he won. I thought he'd win a point to point but we were left with him. We'll look for something similar, it's great to get the first winner on board and JJ gave him an unbelievable ride. I'll dedicate this to two of the syndicate members Sean Kyle and Vincent Slattery who passed away in the last couple of months.
Doldido makes most of Clonmel opportunity for Winters
Luke rode a peach on him over fences at Tramore but we thought the horse didn't seem to kill himself. I said to him today to stay out on the better ground and do your own thing and he left him enjoy it,. The horse needed it and we needed it!. He isn't far off the 95s over fences and you'd say there's a chase win in him as well.
One runner one winner for Closutton as Rock prevails at Clonmel
Her work at home was always very good but she disappointed twice on soft ground. That is proper summer good ground and she enjoyed it,. She is small, not tall like her sister, Lagostovegas, who is a fine big mare but this mare isn't. With the gears she shows at home, we'd like to think she could go back on the flat and while she didn't show that today, I think there is improvement in her.
