Mammy Annie opens account under rules
Allardyce is finally promoted to number 1 spot
The fact we were all born too soon is of no consequence I suppose but it was appropriate he won on student's day as he is leased by the Class Of '67 Racing Club who were all classmates of mine. Most are up around Dublin so there are not too many of them here today but they'll be delighted and they have a lease of him until the end of the month. He'll run in a handicap at Punchestown so they can have a nice day out. He jumped much better than he did at Clonmel and maybe he preferred those hurdles.

Rooster Byron successfully reverts to hurdles
He is a big Oscar horse and went through the ground well. His form had been working out and while it was obvious he would win a handicap hurdle, I didn't think he'd win in that fashion but with the depth of the ground, he handled it and others didn't. It is one of those grounds than some handle and some don't. He's not going to stay going during the summer as that's what was wrong with him early on as we tried to do too much too soon with him. He's a big gross horse and will stick to soft ground and could be a nice handicap chaser in the future.

Blackmore warms up for National with Queen win
That was a little bit unexpected as I thought she might need the run and was a small bit concerned over the ground as it was gluey. She is a fantastic mare and is a pleasure to have. We have already got black-type with her and whatever she did over hurdles was going to be a bonus. Michael (Mee, owner) has four horses with me and is a great man to me. Rachael is also fantastic and has been a huge asset to me. She might go to Punchestown next.
