Twirl makes all to take Leopardstown opener
Murtagh goes four clear aboard impressive Takar
He won well. I was afraid the ground was a bit gluey for him. He ran well at the Curragh but probably needed the run and found a mile a bit far. He doesn't move like he would travel on soft ground but he did it well. He will start off in a Listed race next year and he has plenty of ability. He is athletic and is out of a good mare (Takarouna) who won the Pretty Polly. He should be a stakes horse.
Weld wins Knockaire with least fancied of his 4
I thought Northern Rocked was the best of my runners but the ground was probably too deep for him. Enchanted Evening has always had ability and everything went right for her today. She is a beautifully bred filly. She has finished fourth in Group company so it's important to win with her. That's her for the season. I'm delight for Pat Shanahan. He gave her a great ride and he has never let me down. We go back many moons since he won the Irish Derby for me aboard Zagreb.
Backbench win hands Murtagh the title
I though he was going to be last when he was shoved along after around three furlongs! But he hated the ground and the trip was too sharp for him. He is a smashing horse and I think he will be Listed class next season. He is a full brother to Banksters Bonus.
Battle provides double for Oxx & Champ Murtagh
I'm delighted, he won well. He stays well and gets through that ground. He is well named as he finds a bit extra. He will be a nice horse over a distance next year. He is from a good family and could be a St Leger horse. Hopefully he will run in good races as he is Listed winner now. It remains to be seen how he will handle good ground.
Tobar stays on best to beat Unaccompanied
He's the right type to make a hurdler. He is proven on soft ground and I'd say he will be sold now. He won't be up at Dundalk much over the winter.
Hidden Universe sends punters home happy
Pat wasn't the champion but he rode a really good race there. Him and Johnny are two brilliant riders and Johnny has been riding right at the top of form to win. Today was the day for him. We'll find at race for him a Leopardstown at Christmas now, maybe the Grade 1 Hurdle. He is a very good horse and 2m is probably his trip but the way he finished today he might even get further.
