Sam Bass gets his revenge on Burrenbridge

I'm not sure what happened to him at Gowran. He seemed to get lost in the pack. Even on the flat he liked to be ridden up with the pace so that's what we done today. He jumped great and I think he is not a bad horse. He will go to Fairyhouse next for a Grade 3 Hurdle (in early December) and we will see how he gets on there.

Double Destiny for Meade

He's improved so much this year and again since his maiden win. Every day he's getting that bit better, and if I had any worry beforehand it was the three miles. He has scope, size and is a great clean-winded horse. You would have to think he'll be a horse to be reckoned with when he goes over fences. I'd be tempted to go to Navan for the two and a half mile Grade 1 novice. He does need cut in the ground, and I wouldn't run him on fast ground.

Bishop provides Nagle with another National

He's a classy horse but thinks about things a little. You can't force him to jump and Tom was ideal on him. Alot of the credit should go to Richard O'Dea who schools him. He was schooled yesterday morning and again this morning and it paid off. I thought this would be an ideal race for him, and Tom said he travelled fierce well. He'll get an entry in the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown although I don't know if he's robust enough for that.

He will go to Leopardstown at Christmas with probably one more run before that. He will be entered for the Drinmore but I'd prefer to avoid the big guns for the moment.

Robert's 5lb claim was certainly a help today. It took him a long time to scrape down to a mark where he could win.

She shows loads of gears at home, and our only worry was that she was having her first run but she stayed galloping. There is a Listed mares bumper coming up at Navan that she could go for, and she will jump hurdles.
