Voices Of Spring roars loudest
He was bought in November for Bill (Moffett) who is a long-time patron and he's done nothing but improve. He was a bit difficult when we got him, keen and free, and the hood was a big help today. He jumps well and has the makings of a nice horse.
McCoy magic on Scorpion
He sweated up a lot at the start, and we'll have to see how he comes out of this before thinking about Punchestown. Tony said he'll stay further.
Bitofapuzzle cracks home team
She's been a star for us this season, and they went a real gallop from the start. The conditions suited her today and Noel pressed on from a long way out as she's a three-miler really. She's as hard as nails, and keeps improving. You never really know until you come here whether it's a race too far or not but full credit to her as she's had a number of hard races this season.
Shaneshill shines in Mullins 1-2
I'm wondering did we go for the wrong race at Cheltenham! I didn't think he'd go in the conditions as it's very tacky and soft but he handled it very well. He'll go to Punchestown and, on that run, it looks like he'll stay at that trip. Nicholls Canyon will run at Aintree and we can make a decision after that what to do with them (at Punchestown). He'll go chasing next year.
McCoy doubles up on Gilgamboa in feature
Tony has ridden a few for me but that's the first winner we've had together. It's great to win a race like this and to have that man on top. The ground was a big help, and he just wasn't right the last day and Mark Walsh looked after him. I don't know whether he'll go to Punchestown for the three mile novice or not.
Ballyadam Approach too strong
I quietly fancied him today. He's broken down three times and had a full wind operation twice but his owner has been very patient. He was off a handy weight, and is only coming to himself. He's a ten-year-old but has never had a run of more than four or five races together. I think he'll even improve from that. I hope he'll get into the big novice handicap now at Punchestown.
Castello Sforza lands valuable sales bumper
He was the only one of mine able to take the race, the others were just too weak in very testing conditions. I've no intention of going to Punchestown with him. Maybe he could go for the bumper at the Curragh but we'll probably put him away.
