Brog justifies his short price
That was great. He likes better ground but he did it well. On good to yielding ground he will be a very good horse. He is only getting used to hurdles now. The ground will determine where he will go now. If it is goodish he will go to Leopardstown for the Graded Juvenile Hurdle there.
Well backed Vinnie shows his toughness
He stuck at it well and all he does is stay. It wasn't the plan to make the running but he had no choice. He will stick to staying novice hurdles now and the dream would be to go for the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham in March. He will have to improve a lot from today. The ground was plenty heavy for him and he will be better on better ground. Today was a good pot to win and we have no immediate plans for him now.
Raz takes Cork National as Pete runs out
He was given a good ride again today. We left him alone and rode him more patiently today. I don't know whether we would have won it but we won't give it back!. The Becher Chase at Aintree is his next target. A bit more time would be nice but I think he will jump around those Aintree fences. Even though he is a handy horse, he is a fabulous jumper.
Blossom bounces back to her best
She struck a hurdle the last day and her rider was over good to her after that. That's why she was beaten by so far. She likes that ground and it is as good a ground you will get in the country. My full complements to the staff here as there isn't a better looked after track in the country.
Seven on the trot for Baily Green
I had his hind shoes taken off him and had him left out in a field after he won the last day! He was knocking down the door to be doing something though and I had to bring him in again! . He'll let me know when he wants to stop but in the meantime could run at Punchestown in a few weeks time in a Grade 3 over two miles. Either way I'm not going to abuse him as he has done so much already.
Masked gains deserved win
That was nice compensation. He was only beaten the width of a cigarette paper the last day. We will see what the handicapper does now but he can't be too hard on him. Any JP (McManus) horse that has run for me has now won. So I'm delighted with that.
Que Pasa wins on first start for Kelly
We fancied her today and we would have been disappointed if she was beaten. I am based in Fethard in Tipperary and that is my seventh winner.
