Lean and Keen loves it round Cork
He loves this place and won here on the flat a few months ago. I was afraid he wouldn't get two miles, but I knew he was a great and natural jumper and he has got loads of toe. He'll go to Listowel if it stays dry and then he'll have to get a break. He's a big horse, but he can't keep running.
McGarvey making useful connections
Queally's Memories rolls back the years
I knew nothing about the jockey beforehand but Martin Brassil recommended him and you're always with them when they win!. Now that he (Memories Of Milan) has won, he might do so again having got his head in front. There's a three mile hurdle at Listowel for him next.
Darwins Fox too cute in Cork
Joy for syndicate, Kelly and his bank manager
one of the syndicate is John Palmer my local bank manager which is a help!. she's a grand little mare but was a bit tricky last year but patience has worked. She doesn't seem to handle Kilbeggan but every other run she's had she has run well.
Razia makes owner Ryan's day
She should have won before now. I thought she would win in Wexford and then for whatever reason she blew her lead in Tramore. I'm delighted for owner Bill Ryan who runs Cormacstown Schooling Grounds in Thurles. He's 30 years trying to have a winner and he's had horses with Aidan O'Brien and everyone. She wants good ground. She'll have a break soon and come back for Dundalk.
Valerian Bridge fights hard to take bumper
The dam (Screaming Witness) was my first ride. Myself and Emmet (Mullins) decided to keep the mare and this is her second foal. I thought he would win a bit easier, but I was probably a bit over confident early in the straight on him.
