Ruby saves punters on Savello
I thought the ground was gone for him as he is a good ground merchant. He's a good horse, will make a good chaser in time but is only five and I don't know whether to keep him on the go now or let him off until Christmas.
Codd in Command
I'm delighted with him. I knew he would improve from his point to point win and we were toying between running him in this race and a bumper with him. He is in the Brightwells Sales in November and if he isn't sold there, we'll put him away until next summer as I won't run him on heavy ground. Paul (Townend) was delighted with him but said he jumped a bit novicey but that can be expected coming straight from a point to point. His owner William Drew is from Drogheda and has a few horses with me.
Madame Mado wins mares hurdle
Barry (Cash) wasn't on board Burnt Oil Babe when she won for me the last day but it's great to have my stable jockey back again!. I hope and think Madame Mado could be very good. She was bought as a broodmare a year ago at the Doncaster Sales by my next door neighbours Eithne O'Toole and this is their first horse. Madame Mado had problems all last year and she'll probably now go for a better race.
Ninth win for Monahullan Prince
Monahullan Prince seems to be back to his best. He received an injury at Ballinrobe last year and was out of action for a while after that. He needs to be covered up in his races and is in at Thurles on Thursday and might go there next. He leads the point to pointers at home and pings all his fences so we will go for a chase somewhere along the way too. I've had him since he was a two year old but he didn't win until he was five!

A Country Girl wins Wexford finale
I warned Padraig not to get to the front too soon but he did and I thought she was going to get beaten!. I was fairly confident before the race but Willie (Mullins, trainer of the runner-up) fancied his one too. She'll go jumping now and is a lovely filly.
