Captain Lob fends off the favourite
Tobin back in limelight on Never A Secret
I was hopeful today. We'll see what the handicapper does. She loves this track.

Akatara at last!
I finally found the key to her and that's to run her every second day! [fourth at Tramore on Friday evening]. I'm not in the habit of running them again so quickly, but she's a bit different. We'll keep her on the go for the summer now. Brian thinks that she'll make a fabulous chaser. She's an Aga Khan bred.
Ned could be Connacht National bound
When the other horses came out I had a discussion with the owners and we decided to let him take his chance. Davy gave him a great ride and he loves the fast ground. He is a good jumper but he did step a bit at the last. He will be kept on the go now for the summer and he could go for the Connacht National at Roscommon.
One ride one winner for Geraghty
I had my first winner in the owner Patrick McLoughney's colours. He is a long-standing owner of mine and I'm delighted to train a winner for him. Barry gave him a great ride. I might try him over hurdles as he has a lower handicap mark over hurdles.
Meade at the double with Devils Paintbrush
I'd say he's quite a nice horse. He did it very well, very easily. He had a few little problems and being by Shantou we waited for good ground with him. He'll go for a winners' bumper. He's schooled well over jumps. He's a full brother to a horse Christy Roche had called Touch Back and they thought a bit of him.
