Line leads home Hughes 1-2
I'm delighted with both horses. It's was probably about time White Star Line won but in fairness to him he came up against a couple of good horses. He didn't do a stroke when he hot the front today
Uncle Tom turns over Cadspeed
I'm very happy with him and I decided to run him here because I was finding it hard to find a beginners' chase with him. He disappointed a bit last year but my horses weren't right for most of last season.
Gagewell books Cheltenham ticket
Bishopsfurze did today what I feared he would do the last day at Cork, as he has no respect for hurdles. Gagewell Flyer is improving all the time and Emmet gets those horses jumping well and has ridden three winners for me in the last week. Gagewell Flyer will have no problem staying three miles and we'll look at the Neptune Novices or Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdles at Cheltenham with him.
Imaalhall causes 16/1 upset
I suppose it was hard to fancy him the way he had been running but he is tough and battled well. Davy gave him a right good ride.
Burke off the mark as a professional
we thought a bit of him on the Flat but he failed to deliver. However he ran a smashing race on his hurdle debut at Limerick the other day and came on from the run well. We'll step him up in class now and see how he gets on.
Wordsworth follows script
William Wordsworth has had nearly every problem you can think of . a chipped knee, problems with bleeding and allergies. We had to change his feed and that has made a big difference. I'm delighted for his owner Adrian McAndrew who has been very patient with him.
Willie John scores debut bumper win
I was a bit worried that Willie John got held up in his work by the bad weather and when I brought him to work at Dundalk before Christmas he blew up. I got another piece of work into him since Christmas and he loves soft ground. He had been ready to run a while back but I pulled him out as the ground was too quick.
