Tested wins on her debut for Weld & Smullen
She is unquestionable a stakes filly for next year. I doubt that she will run again this year as she is still very immature. There is a listed race back here in two weeks time (the Staffordstown Stud Stakes), but I think I'll probably run the Prince Khalid Abdullah filly who won in Listowel (Laynard) in that race.
My Titania shows her class
That is Sea The Stars first Stakes winner, and I have a couple of more 2yo's by him to appear, but they have had setbacks. My Titania is a bit like her father in that she pulls up and doesn't do a whole lot in front. She travelled really well and she has a good turn of foot and stays well. She won't run again this season. She likes fast ground and we were lucky enough to get three nice runs into her for experience.
Emerald shines in the Blenheim Stakes
He did a bit of work before Listowel that was excellent with Avenue Gabriel and a few older horses, and his form overall is very solid. It is beautiful good ground out there today, it is what I would call no excuse ground. Hopefully he will go now for the Killavullan Stakes (Leopardstown October 26th). He is fairly versatile in regards to trip. He quickened well and put it to bed. He is an exciting colt for next year. All going well he will start off in a guineas trial, but that is a long way off.
Deserved win for Nero Emperor
He has been threatening to do that for a bit. He is quite a nice horse and it is great to see him a nice pot like that.
Well-backed Campanology scores for Murtagh
He ran well in the Cambridgeshire and he might be one for Dubai. He is rated 95 now and he is creeping up all the time. He has been running consistently well. He is taking his races much better as he was a bit of a worrier.
Storm gets his revenge on Missunited
We weren't sure about the two miles but he got it well. He travelled well and I don't think he needs to go that far. I'd say he is finished for the year now and he could make up into a cup horse next year. I think he got a kick as a foal which resulted in him losing an eye.
