Thetys answers Carberry's call in Naas
It's nice when it works. She had a great run in Navan (fifth) and then at Christmas the first run in a handicap (fourth in Limerick) probably caught her out,. She learned her lesson at Christmas and did it well today. She has a bit of size to her, hopefully she'll stay in the one piece and we'll take it from there. She'll mix it as well, she's run a couple of times on the Flat. The boys gave handy money for her this time last year, she was €10,000 in France. She's a well-bred Camelot filly so fingers crossed we're alright.
Kelly's claim swings good pot Limerick Lace's way
She's a fine big mare and jumps well. She needed the 7lb to win, to be fair, and he gave her a smashing ride. It's a nice pot to win. She always has those mares' races and we'll see where we go now.
Rebel Gold plunders Grade 3 honours
Corbetts Cross shows his class in Grade 2 company
It was a nice performance. I'd say it was a good race, two nice horses and he's a very nice horse. He showed a great attitude, but I suppose it's nothing we didn't know. He's been a very good horse all season for Maxine and Eugene (O'Sullivan). Paul (Byrne, owner) said that has possibly opened up a few more avenues and he said he's open to some supplementary entries.
Change of tactics reaps dividends for Bialystok
We completely changed tactics, he has a lot of speed and I said to Paul to lock him up and don't let him out until near the last. As it was, I think he appeared in front too soon and was probably lucky to hold on in the end. It was a good tactical ride from Paul at the end of the day. I'm looking forward to going back on the Flat with him. I got him from Jean-Claude Rouget and he was very sorry to lose him. As the ground gets better in the spring time he'll find it easier to get that trip so there will be a nice race in him over hurdles as well.
Meyler doubles up on Little Mixup
That was brilliant. I thought it might be the other way around coming here today, that I might win the maiden (with runner-up Thecompanysergeant) and the handicapper might have had a hold of this lad. He's improving away, he relished the nicer ground. Because he won on heavy, we thought that's what he wanted but he's versatile. We'll find something similar for him. He missed a year with an injury and there were question marks if he would even come back. Now he's after really bouncing back. It's unfortunate for Mark junior (McDonagh) that the weights were too light for him, but I'm sure he'll be on him the next day and claim off him.
