Breeze a birthday winner for Mrs Harrington
He did it nicely and we're delighted with him,. He learned a lot from Gowran. He hated the ground in Gowran and that ground is an awful lot better today. He had to do it the hard way, making all his own running, and he jumped great. Robbie said he quickened up really well and then he just stayed galloping. He'll probably go to Fairyhouse and Punchestown but he's a chaser for next year. He may stay over hurdles next year but I'd say he'll go chasing.
Uradel springs surprise on return from a break
That was a nice surprise,. We'll look for another winners race for him. We'll keep him to the same type of race. His break obviously did him the power of good.
Fitzhenry deserving of his "decent pot"
It's great. He's a little unlucky not to have won his last four in a row, he was on the wrong side of the photo finishes,. He got hindered at the last again and I thought he wasn't going to get back up again but in fairness to Barry he galvanised him. He'll probably head to Navan now for the three-mile final in March. He's a horse that will improve with a bit of age as well, he's a little bit of a shell of himself. It's great that he's won a decent pot.
Hardline "keeps doing it"
He's grand and consistent. He keeps doing it and he's a bit like Mitchouka yesterday,. He battled better than I thought he would. He was giving everything weight so that was a nice performance. We'll look for something in Fairyhouse. I'd say we'll keep him at home.
Further joy with bargain-buy Doctor
It worked out grand. I was a bit disappointed with Ball D'Arc as he never travelled at all,. I said to Davy 'if you are flat out going past me first time I'll be happy' because he needs an end to end gallop. Thankfully that worked out grand. He only cost us ten grand. His job is done now and if he never wins again we're happy. There is a race in a few weeks time for him at Navan. He definitely won't be going to Cheltenham — not if I have my way anyway.
Cawley hits net after recent crossbar rattles
He ran plenty free but he's that sort of little horse and even at home he's like that,. He did it well. I thought when he made the mistake two out he was in trouble but he still pulled it out. He seemed to love the ground and when I saw beforehand how good it was I was delighted and thought he'd have a chance. I've been hitting the crossbar recently, and had three seconds, so it's time one came home.
Dempseys get quick compo
Of my three runners I thought he was the one with the least chance,. Once he got over 100 I thought it would be tough for him. He's tough, he was off the bridle the whole way but kept finding. I thought he was going to get caught on the run-in and it was like slow motion. He doesn't help you either and Luke said he was off it the whole way. He's a lazy oul devil.
Carefully buys a Cheltenham ticket
He's improved since Christmas. He did it the hard way and did it well,. He's just bought a ticket, I'd say, to go across the water on that performance. We'll see how he comes out of it. He's certainly gone on the short list now. After winning at two-and-a-half I wasn't so sure that he would be able to switch back to two on drier ground. It shows that he's better than I thought he was at Christmas.
