Hillwalker off the mark for the Clearys
We knew he had improved a lot from the Curragh, and Rory rode him during the week and confirmed that. He’s a very easy horse to train and we ran him in the Curragh the first day because he ran so well in a barrier trial at Dundalk. I’d say he’ll improve again from that. He takes his racing very well, doesn’t sweat up and travels well — you couldn’t have a nicer horse in the yard. Rory gave him a lovely ride. We’ll decide in the next few days where we go next but we can aim between the posts now!
Iron Blue mighty in Gowran Park
We haven’t run too many because we had a bit of a bug around the place. She came back from Dundalk and was fairly sick. We thought she would win in Dundalk but she ran terrible.
St Brelades Bay wins on a going day
I never really know when he’s going to do it and that’s the first time he’s won over seven furlongs. He’s in great order this year and it suited him the way the race was run. They went real hard up in front and once they come back he thinks it’s great. He got nearly a length up and then I wasn’t sure if he was going to get caught again.
Path Of Silver charts her way to victory
She’s a game filly. I would have fancied her a lot today only she disappointed at Navan and I don’t know why. Maybe she needs these twisting tracks. She’s not high class but she’s game and was in good form today.
