Curly made every yard a winning one in the extended nine furlong fillies' maiden at Gowran Park.

Aidan O'Brien 's Galileo filly travelled smoothly approaching the straight as the chasing pack all came off the bridle.

It was Park Bloom who came out of the bunch to try and attack the leader inside the final quarter of a mile.

However, she couldn't land a blow on Curly who was ridden to go and win her race coming to the final furlong.

The 7/2 joint favourite kept on well to win by two lengths from 5/1 shot Park Bloom. Predawn on debut, completed the placings some lengths away in third at 8/1 as the front two drew clear.

Jockey Seamie Heffernan said: “She has a very good pedigree and had a nice run the first day. The extra couple of furlongs was a help.

"She’s a little bit hot but I’d say she’s honest.”
