Noras lives up to her billing
This is a nice winner as the owner's wife passed away recently and the horse was named after her. They had Natalies Fancy (Galway Hurdle heroine in 1992) before. The visor was a big help to this mare as we felt she wasn't concentrating. She loves heavy ground which is a big plus.
Rover can't handle Whiskey And Red
He's in at Down Royal on Wednesday and he'll run there if he's okay.
Two for Russell on Midnight
He's holding his improvement and we'll try to go up the ladder slowly with him. If we could find another few like this I'd be very happy.
Mullins on the double at Thurles
She's a mare that'll probably be better over fences. She doesn't really have respect for those hurdles but she'll go down the mares novice hurdle route now. She's a fine big mare and she'll carry weight over a fence. She might come back here in March for that novice hurdle that comes up before Cheltenham. The Grade 1 mares novice hurdle at Fairyhouse would be a possibility as well. She was bought from the same trainer in France that had Arvika Ligeonniere - Philippe Peltier.
Missie scores with guidance from above
She's owned by two brothers, Michael and Tony O'Brien from Nenagh. Tony's wife Trish died yesterday. I'd declared the mare to run on Friday, obviously with the intention of running, but I thought she'd be a non-runner until Mike phoned and said to run her saying that's what Trish would have wanted.
