Moore & Russell take opener at Punchestown
He is still a bit green but is a very nice horse. He probably didn't jump as well as he did at Leopardstown but it is very open out here in front. We will probably give him 6 weeks and wait for the good ground and go for a winners of one with him. I won't put a gun to his head but I think he'll make a lovely chaser next year.
Mikael D'Haguenet impresses at Punchestown
We decided to change tactics today as we thought there wouldn't be enough pace. His knee action was very evident today and once again would have concerns if the ground got lively at Cheltenham, if he is go there he will not have another run. Going to France is definitely on the cards and I would have no fear about bringing him back here for the Festival.
Moore and Russell record double
He has been a great servant and came out of the race at Fairyhouse very well and is as good as ever. Davy [Russell] said that Big Zeb still had to pass him to win. He will go to Naas in three weeks time and he may go for a 2 ¿ mile graded race at Navan. All things going well he will come back here for the Festival.
McNamara seen to good effect
That was a nice way to break his maiden over fences. The next stop will be the 4 mile.
L'Ami secures ticket to Cheltenham
His jumping was ok, he jumped better at Cheltenham last time out. He will go for the Cross Country race at the Cheltenham Festival next.
Mixed day for O'Connor
Universal Truth takes last at Punchestown
He's a nice horse, that was the minium distance to keep us warm. We had the race well won he just got tired close home and nearly got caught. We will look for a 4 year old winners bumper with him next.
