Vote gets the better of Alpha in Cork opener
Lingo a horse on the improve
My wife Bernie is the owner and breeder. We will see how he comes out of this in the next few days but he could come back for the three mile novice here in a few weeks.
Tammys successfully reappears over hurdles
He got a bit nervous coming down on the road, and it took five hours. They were very good here and put him up overnight. He'll probably head to Down Royal for the Jnwine.com Champion Chase or come back here for the Cork National is another option. I think he's improved in his looks and his physique this year, and there is still a lot of improvement in him.
Duke just beats Star in Cork feature
That's a lovely pot to win. He ran a blinder at Fairyhouse last November (in a Grade B Handicap Chase) but I don't think he has really had his conditions again until recently. He has won a hurdle and a chase and we will try and go for the treble now on the flat in the Leopardstown November Handicap next weekend. He should get into it.
Band rolls on at Cork
He was just about fit enough to start off. He won a point-to-point for Pat Doyle so had experience jumping, and I'd say he'll go for a winners of one next.
Farrell & Flanagan combine with Captain
It is a deserved win and especially for the owners, Martin and Maureen Flinters, who are fantastic owners.
