Tropical justifies odds-on favouritism

She'll get her holidays now and will have a month to five weeks off. She'll come back around Listowel time and she is a nice mare to look forward too. She will stay hurdling this season and I'm not sure yet what other good mares are around to take her on. She is out of a half-sister to Tropical Lake and it's been a lucky pedigree for me.

Blazing bounces back to form

I didn't get a chance to look at the calendar yet but she will run in another handicap next. The ground is heavy out there and she mightn't run for a fortnight. Hopefully she'll win another handicap and she'll go chasing in November. If the ground improves it won't bother her.

Doubles for Hourigan/Heskin at Limerick

he could do no more than he did there but Adrian (Heskin) said he made hard work of it on that (testing) ground. However it wasn't a strong contest and he just about got away with it. He is owned by my nephew Billy Hourigan and his wife Karen and will be kept on the go during the summer.

Perfect ten for Tarla

Emmet deserves a lot of credit for that. She has fallen twice for Ruby but Emmet obviously gets on well with her. She is a dinger of a mare and has won ten races now (won three in France before joining Mullins). She'll be kept on the go in mares races over the summer now and she might even go back to the flat.

Consistent Hillman lands a gamble

He will go out on grass now. He won three races this year and you can't ask for much more than that. I only got him around February or March and he has never been out of the money for us.

Cheap buy Tooreen wins on track debut

She was just beaten in two point-to-points. She travelled well at Dromahane but was just outbattled. She looked a class act then. If the ground isn't too firm she will run in a maiden hurdle next.
