Tribal Beat marches to his own tune in Naas
It was disappointing he got beat the first day but maybe in hindsight he was a bit raw and a bit weak. He's developed into a fine horse. He has done well today and I'm very, very pleased with him. When I asked him to quicken at the two pole it was all over in a matter of strides. He got seven and got it well here the last day. He's not short of pace and never was. That's what we were expecting on day one but it has taken a while to get it. I'm not sure if he will run again this year as I didn't look beyond today but I'd say he'll get a mile. The ground doesn't really matter to him. He just got it all together today.
Thunder strikes at Naas with lightning debut
I thought she might win as she had been working well. I don't know how good a race it is but she is a nice filly. She broke her jaw as a yearling and that is what she is so late running. That may be as far as she wants but we could try her in a Guineas Trial as she might get seven furlongs.
Al Mohalhal shows Birdcatcher speed
I was going to stick to maidens and then said I'll take a chance. There is a nursery at Leopardstown next week over seven furlongs, and we'll see how he is.
Queen Catrine regal in Naas
I've liked what I've seen at home and she is a very smart filly. She hit the front too soon but went on and did her job. I got her about a month ago. She's been working well but you only really find out when they run on the track.
Sevenleft blitzes home in Naas
I was nearly not running him as he's in the Sales and now I'm not sure if he'll go to the Sales! We have been riding him wrong until Limerick as once he's out in front he drops the bit and relaxes.
Oliver & King have it with topweight Eye
He's owned by a longstanding patron (Garrett Freyne) and had a few niggling problems but everything has come together. Due to a lack of opportunities we ran him in a maiden last time but he got penalised 9lb for that. Connor gets on well with him. He's in again at Navan on Wednesday, and he should be able to handle Dundalk as well.
Appleby and Endless Time in successful raid
She's a big, scopey filly and has improved with time. James was very pleased with her and that ground and trip suits her well. We'll put her away now and hopefully she will progress again next year. They have done a great job with watering the ground here and I'd like to thank everyone at Naas for looking after us so well.
Bolger brings up treble with Robertstown
He's a gutsy fella and hard to beat in a finish. He's versatile ground-wise. He should make a good hurdler and I think he is going to be in the black colours (trained by John Ferguson).
