Maggie beats the boys in Dundalk opener
Queen delights Budds with a quick follow-up win
She's in great form. She won in Wexford the other night and this was kind of the plan. Last year we hadn't enough points for this race and she was ready for it. We didn't think we'd get into this year and it was only after we entered we thought we had a great chance of getting in. We fancied her because she came on from the hurdles the other day. She is what she is but she loves it up around here and never runs a bad race. We're delighted, if I didn't have her sure I'd get nowhere. I'll have a look and she'll probably come back here before we go over hurdles again.
Worth follows up despite running around again
He put it together last week when he was very green. We got a 15lb hike which I thought was quite severe. I spoke to the handicapper then and I've just texted him and said my apologies 'you were right' so I wish to give him credit because he was right. He did it again, he ran about and is still a big green horse. We had to run him because there is nothing else for him for a few weeks. We'll give him a week or two now and then see where we go. I think there is maybe a race in Leopardstown for him. He'll probably get another few pounds now. That looked an interesting enough little race beforehand and he was able to step up.
Hussey puts a 2nd winner on the board
We've been trying for a good while with her,. The 7lb was important today. She's been dogged by bad draws and to win from that draw today I thought was exceptional. She's a tough little cookie, toughed it out well, and probably won a bit cosy in the end. When we found her right trip she started to find her feet.
Patience prevails in tight finish
They went no gallop and he was in the right spot at the right time,. He'll probably stay a mile, he has three races won now so his owner will be very happy. He was trying to sell him but there was no-one to buy him but he has won three for him now so it's all good. We'll keep tipping away with him.
Dundalk double for Hayes as Alhaazm goes in again
Tom Kiely Marshall Fit for a first success
If you look at this horse's form it shows if there is a bend on the track he runs well. He's run 13 times on a straight and he's never delivered,. We actually thought he'd run very well yesterday and I was disappointed with him. He was on his last chance. He's such a fresh and easy horse that it takes nothing out of him. With the bend, the 10lb claim and probably a lesser calibre race, he delivered. He's always run well bar up the straight in the Curragh. Tom is a very good young lad and he's very dedicated. I'm delighted for him as he works very hard and reads a race well. He's cool and very good for his 10lb.
Nicholson completes the clean-sweep of winners at Irish tracks
Thank-god she can run quicker over six furlongs than I can from the stalls!.
