Zoffany takes opener at Leopardstown
He quickened up really today, he was ready for today and learnt alot. I don't think they went overly fast there. I'm very happy with him. Royal Ascot could be a possibility but we've a good bit to go yet. We couldn't have asked anymore of him in his maiden.
Brushed Aside wins again
She's an improving filly and she got a great drive from Pat [Smullen]. She hasn't got her coat yet but she did it nicely. We will look for something similiar and maybe some black type later on in the season.
Manning opens up a Book Of Number
He had a good run first time out, then he threw the toys out the pram at Gowran and he didn't act at all in Dundalk. We will probably go for something similiar. He's very versatile we could step him up or drop him back. He will probaby just stick to handicaps.
Smullen/Weld doubled up with Famous Name
He's a very good horse and that was a very good performance. He is in such good form, we were a little bit worried about the ground. The two possibilities for him are the Amethyst Group 3 here in May or the Prix de Muguet at Saint Cloud the weekend beforehand.
Puncher lands Ballysax Stakes
He's a very versatile type as in he gets a mile and a half and he could be dropped back to nine furlongs. He probably wouldn't be able to cope with Group 1 company just yet but he'd certainly be able to cope with a level below. He doesn't seem to mind the ground or surface. He will probably have an easy week or two of it after that.
Martin strikes with Sugar Baby Love
The owner Martin Byrne couldn't make it today, he's a new owner of mine. He is the manager of the local football team in Rathkenny. This is his first horse, so he's off to a nice start. She ran a nice race in Dundalk and I think the extra trip suited her. We will probably look for something similiar for her.
O'Brien completes Leopardstown double
He was bit green in front. You'd have to think a lot of him after doing what he did first tome out. It's grand that he won and we're all happy.
Berry in double form
He's lightly raced, he needs fast ground and distance. We will go for something similiar depending on what kind of mark he gets. He needs to settle a bit better, he's inclined to pull. He could be a black type horse in time.
