Cool Kennedy collects in Navan's opener
He's a big raw horse,. He's a big chasing in the making. He improved a lot from his first run. I'd say he could definitely step up in trip. He's a nice horse.
Grand National hero wins Boyne Hurdle
that's brilliant, I'm delighted with the way he ran. He's a great horse and he never lets us down. The plan is the cross-country race at Cheltenham and obviously the English National all being well. It was a nice surprise. I thought the two horses, Bless The Wings (which finished last) and him, would finish second last and last so it was a nice surprise. He's paid for himself for the year again. That's arguably one of his best performances over hurdles. I thought he would need the run badly, and we knew there was plenty of improvement in him, but he was obviously a bit fitter than I thought. Keith said he would come on from the run. He's going to be some horse to go for the cross-country race now and he should taking a fair bit of beating with a clear round.
Owner's patience rewarded as Oscars Den wins again
his last two runs were good runs. He's only had 15 runs in his life as he's a hard old horse to keep right. The owner has had great patience, she loves him, and gave him every chance to win another one. It might be hard enough to win another one but sure he has that one won. He's a gorgeous looking horse but he can't jump a fence, which is a pity but he can't.
More Grade 2 glory as Blackmore's Dream is still alive
he really toughed it out there which was good to see. Rachael got a great tune out of him and he jumped brilliant, bar maybe the last. We just said we wanted to try dropping him in again and see. It seemed to suit him well and he was able to jump his way into it no bother so that was great. I'd say you'd have to look at the RSA now. I think he's entitled, I have to speak to the owners and see what they'd like to do but I wouldn't see why not. The ground might be my only reason why not — it's as good as he'd want it there today but he was good. I'm delighted to get it for Robcour.
Cheltenham contender Conti completes Elliott's treble
Barry was very happy and he said it might have been better if he had let him stride on a little bit as he said he was breaking his stride and wasn't jumping as well as he can. We've done what we had to do and the plan now is to go straight for the Foxhunters. He's a good horse and he has good solid form.
Crawley's Houdini lands Navan gamble
That was brilliant. I suppose the light weight, 10st1lb on her back, made a difference,. She ran well to finish fourth around here before in a maiden hurdle and the step up in trip pat Navan today helped, being by Yeats she probably appreciated that. My horses are are in good form. We are doing nothing different but they are in good form. She probably likes a bit of nice ground and I wouldn't like to run her in real heavy ground. I'm delighted to get a win for Michael (Smith, owner); we bought her at the Derby sale and he had the faith in me to buy her.
Elliott completes Navan four-timer with 1-2 in bumper
He's (Thatsy) a nice horse — we think a bit of him,. He's got a bit of boot — he's not slow, so we think a good bit of him. A Scottish man (K Haughey) owns him, it's our first winner for him and he's invested a few quid into the yard. It wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he had an entry in the Cheltenham bumper. He's a smart horse but we'll have to see. The second (Multifactorial) is a big galloper and is a nice horse too. He would have been a good winner if you took yer man out of it.
