Wachman and Lee in opening surprise at Cork
She stepped up nicely from her run at Fairyhouse. She travelled well and handled the ground. Billy thinks there's a bit more to come.
Doyle now flying with Bainne
She loves to be on the bridle and I said to Joe to get a lead but the way the race worked out that didn't happen. She was drawn very wide at the Curragh the last day (11th there). She's in again at Sligo on Tuesday and she'll probably take her chance there.
Bye Bye to the maiden tag
She'd be better on quick ground. She has a couple of entries next week (the Queen Mary and the Albany) and she could go. (AM & EM)
2 for Lee on Cape as Maarek under-performs
It's his third win down here though his other two wins were on the round track. Billy (Lee) decided to let Maarek go first and leave his challenge late hoping that he'd stop in front. He's in the Wokingham (at Royal Ascot next week) and if it comes up soft he could go there. He'd need a lot of rain as his front legs are a bit tricky. He needs a good dig. He'd probably be well-in there now judged on this run.

Long traveller on Target at Cork
I saw the head-on and I thought it was six of one and half a dozen of the other. He's still a bit raw and green and he played up a bit at the start. Chris gave him a good positive ride. He's fairly ground versatile and I think he stays a mile. It's been well documented that we were refurbishing our gallops earlier in the year and we've been playing catch up ever since. It felt a bit like being at the bottom of a ruck getting a good chewing.
Mornings With Ivan are profitable
Lee stars at Cork with near 760/1 treble
She didn't handle the track the last day at Wexford (fifth when favourite there) and we'll step her up to stakes level now.
