Doyle/Butler win opener at Tramore
He has taken well to hurdles. The handicapper put him up twelve pounds for finishing second in Wexford the last day. He's a small horse and he wouldn't be able to carry big weight in handicaps so we may go back to the flat or go for a conditions hurdle. He loves fast ground and it was great to get a winner for the owner Paul, he is very loyal and has about seven horses in training with me.
Townend at his best
That was a great performance under top weight and Paul gave her the sweetest ride I've ever seen he was just so confident on her. We will probably go to Galway in two weeks time and hopefully the ground will still be good there.
Major Decision for Carberry
He loves that ground and that's the key to him. He hasn't run since the start of the year, he's only back in six weeks but it doesn't take a whole lot to get him fit,. We will either go for a novice hurdle or a handicap hurdle depending on what the handicapper does with him.
Duers wins again
For a big horse you would think he would like soft ground but he is much better on good ground. He's holding his form well and we will probably go for another handicap.
Doyle & Butler record 48.5/1 double
He was very sick earlier in the year. He did really well as I thought he might be a bit short of fitness for today. I'd say it was pure ability that got him through as he's a class horse. We may go back hurdling over a trip he is also very well handicapped on the flat. Mickey did really well and he is one of the best seven pound claimers in the country.
Kalellshan makes it a winning debut over fences
That was his first run over fences. He jumped very well and the conditions of the race really suited him. It was for horses rated 109 or less over hurdles and my lad would have been the highest raced horse over hurdles. I had thought about Listowel but I'm too sure if he's as good going left-handed.
Fahy records 119/1 double
I'm hoarse after roaring her home, that was sweet and Conor gave her a drive and a half. She had a good run at Gowran Park first time out and then it rained at Limerick and the ground went against her,.
