Keane breaks new ground on Khartoum
Lustown Baba scores in runaway fashion
She had been working well and is a different filly on that ground. The syndicate of lads that own her had great fun last year and won the Foran race. She’s been second to two good horses this year, and the stiff six suits her. She was able to get a lead today and they went a good strong gallop which really suited her. She’s in here on Thursday in the Testimonial Stakes so she will run in that. There is rain forecast tonight and the more the better. She’ll stay in training next year as she hasn’t done much this year with the way the ground was. She’s a big strong filly.
A Case Of You provides McConnell with landmark success
That's my first Curragh winner as usually if I have a good horse I stay away from the Curragh because the competition is so good but he justified coming here and was impressive. Colin (Keane) had done work on him during the week but had to ride for Mr O'Brien and he gave Gary advice. He won a barrier trial impressively and then I shouldn't have run him in Bellewstown (over a mile) and he won well in Down Royal. It's my first Group winner on the Flat. Shane Lyons advised me to go for this race and I doubt if he will run again this year. He's in the Foran race next week but I think we will leave that to someone else. He handled Dundalk well so he will have no problem on better ground. He's my own and I'd love to sell him. It would be great to sell him and stay in the yard. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets faster and faster and the dream could be something like a Commonwealth Cup.

Helvic blitzes his rivals as Meade & Keane double-up
I thought he was good all year but things just haven't gone right for him with one thing and another. I don't know where he will go next, and there is the possibility we could travel with him. He'll stick to Stakes races now. We have schooled him over barrels but that will probably go out the window now. Colin was riding the O'Brien horses today but he told me the other day he was riding this horse which was nice to hear. We get on well together and it gave me a bit of satisfaction that he stuck with me. He loves soft ground. He wouldn't want fast ground but I think he'll go on good ground.
Gentleman claims the Cesarewitch for Emmet Mullins
We got this horse a year ago and it's all worked out well. We had him ready to go during the summer and he just met with a little hiccup and it was great to get the run into him at Listowel coming here. My only worry was that he hadn't ran for a year and it was just 16 days back from the Listowel run. It was a quick enough turnaround considering that he hadn't run for a year. This is a huge race to win. We'll see what the handicapper will do now. He was primarily bought to jump hurdles and I'm sure he will do that at some stage. We have options now and we are in a good place.
Fences next for Leinster after Derby win
His form got a great boost in the Cesarewitch. I thought a mark of 97 was harsh but the handicapper is usually right to be fair to him. This fellow has schooled over fences and he’s very good so I’d imagine that is going to be on the cards for him. I was able to twist Willie’s arm and get him to run here rather than the Cesarewitch.
Takeachancejimmy strikes for Slevin & Farragher
A mile on soft ground seems to suit him. We took him to Tipperary and the ground went against him and Dundalk didn't work. He did it well today. He's a bit hit and miss but when he gets it right he's good. We'll probably keep going until the grass season ends.
