Rips Dream a poignant winner in Wexford
He is a lovely horse and we always thought on the Flat his bravery wasn't the best, but we think hurdles will toughen him up. He's not finished yet on the flat but the hurdles will put a bit of bravery into him. We were hoping for the best today as he had been jumping well at home and he is a lovely big horse. It is sad his owner Bill Foley passed away earlier in the year; he was an absolute gentleman and he would have been thrilled. His niece Annette O'Connor and nephew are carrying on with the horse now so it's great.
Shes Flat Tothemat finds more for Torrens
The young lad (Simon Torrens) rode her at Ballinrobe and she stayed on mad for him so we were delighted to be able to give him the chance back. The ground was perfect for her as she is a bit one paced and if it was too good she might get outpaced a bit. She is a small mare and hit everything right on the day. We didn't actually jump a hurdle since she chased so I said to him 'don't fall off at the first because you might get a big jump!' She is a spooky kind of mare but is only six and is grand. The syndicate (Going Stone Mad Syndicate) are a great crowd who are mad for racing. I'll buy ye all drinks if I win the last (with Doldido)!

Kaletto survives blunder before winning at Wexford
she made a bad mistake at the second last but I always think she had it and was always cruising best of them. Mark was saying she was in serious form at home and I school her a bit during the week. She was out with a stone bruise at Sligo the last day but luckily today suited her.
Put The Kettle On completes four-timer
I'm delighted for everyone involved in the syndicate and we are having some run with her and she is a lovely mare. She jumped brilliant, Hugh was great on her and just at the last two she landed a bit funny after them but that was it. We might have a look at the black-type chase at Tipperary in early October with her next.
Winning spare gives Torrens his first double
He tripped here three runs ago and fell when he looked like he would be first or second and was second in Tramore the last day. Good ground is key to him and we were struggling to get him into races. I was thinking yesterday whether or not I'd run him from 5lbs out of the handicap but I looked at the calendar and there was nothing coming up so I had to run him. Adam (Short) then got hurt and I had never met Simon (Torrens) but he gave him a great ride and the 4lbs was a big help. We'll look for a similar race again next.
Red-letter day for trainer Sheehy
It was great to see Michael having his first winner above; he is 16, is light and I'd say he'll go well at it. He has 190 pony winners ridden and is apprenticed to Joseph O'Brien. It's been a nice day for Michael and myself and it's nice to get back into the winner's enclosure and especially with a double. Getting horses is everything and I've only a handful of horses but have a couple of nice young horses to run. This horse won two point to points but I was running him over the wrong trip. I said I'd try him over three miles after his run the last day and he did. Shane (Fenelon) is 21 and from Wicklow and that's his first racecourse winner. He has ridden two point to point winners, his first on this horse, and he rides out in Shark Hanlon's. He comes to me after dinner and is one of the hardest working young lads I know and that's why I gave him a chance. He gave him a great ride and is plucky and does what he is told.
