Hayes 'loving it' with another Stack winner
she’s very good looking and Tom Whitehead bought her as a yearling and he is a good judge. It has been so dry the past month, we didn’t get a chance to get her on the grass and even though there was money for her today, I was worried would she be street-wise enough. She showed talent in the race, has plenty natural pace and Shane (Foley) said she was green when she hit the front and took a blow at the furlong pole so you would expect improvement from her. She’ll go to Naas for a Listed race next - we had a filly, Newsletter, that was third in the Queen Mary (at Royal Ascot) in the past and I think this filly is better. It depends on how the next few weeks go but the Queen Mary is the target.

we’re happy with that as we couldn’t wait any longer to get him away from home, because he does nothing at home. He’s bone idle and he wants a minimum 1m4f but was as fit as we could get him at home. He’ll come on buckets for that, Colin said he handled that ground but obviously he won’t have a problem with a little ease. He has a bit of class but does nothing at home and was gawking when he hit the front today. He’s a kind natured horse but we had to bring him here to do some work and we’ll look for a handicap now.
Declan (McDonogh) loved him and while I was hoping for an ease today, he moved brilliantly and seemed to love it. He was in great form but was doing nothing by staying at home so I had to run him. He’s the only horse I have for Michael Ryan and that’s also our first winner together.
