Plenty to Come from Zaarito
Clan Tara Shows Real Guts
Nina (Carberry) won on him in Tralee and she said he would be the type to be suited by big staying tracks. He needs a minimum of two and a half miles and if he is okay after today he'll probably go for the graded novice hurdle at Limerick over Christmas. It was a great ride by Davy and Clan Tara be a better horse next year when he jumps a fence. (EM)
He is not big and he is unable to carry weights so we were hoping with the light weight today that he'd have a chance. We knew he was in great order coming here and he needs to run fresh. He'll have a break now. He has already won his point-to-point so he'll jump a fence. (EM)
Two from Two for Taipan
That was another great display, that's two good rounds of jumping. I think the second is a good horse. My fellow will probably go for the Durkan New Homes Novice Chase (Leopardstown on St Stephens Day). (EM)
Navan Treble for Russell
He has earned the right to go for the Knight Frank Novice Chase (a Grade One on the third day of the Leopardstown Christmas Festival). Whether he is good enough I don't know and Gigginstown also have Siegemaster for that race so we'll have to see. He is improving and thankfully he (Davy) didn't have to be hard on him today. (EM)
Russell Takes Navan by Storm
He is entered in the Paddy Power (has 11st 7Ib at the moment) but if he gets a fair rise for this it could put him out of that. The Lexus is another option. Davy said he idled after the last but it's grand to get that prize.
3 Bumpers in a Week for Harrington/Fahey
That is great because he is a home bred. He is a fine big horse and he just got a bit lonely in front. At the end of the day he'll be a chaser. (EM)
