Carberry bows out on a winner at Punchestown
He (Enda Bolger) has been a massive supporter of mine and obviously I wouldn't have had all the Cheltenham winners without him or JP (McManus) so I'm very grateful. Obviously Noel Meade is a massive supporter and very loyal to me the whole time and Gordon Elliott too. I couldn't have been here without all them. Obviously Gigginstown gave me plenty of winners as well. I'm sad and I'm happy! I'm sad that it is all finished and I'll miss the banter in the room but happy that there is a new career in front. I am stuck for words. I am so happy for her. You always got 110 per cent from her. I left it all to her. She's a Carberry and they are natural horse people.
Heron Heights soars to victory for Power
Benie Des Dieux confirms Cheltenham form
She's as good as I thought she was. My aim all year was to win the mares' hurdle at Cheltenham and hopefully come back here and she has done both things properly. She's a real good mare. At home I thought after her first win she had the ability of Douvan, I wondered was she a female version of Douvan. I want to see what there is over fences for her, are there races for her over fences that I want to go for.I imagine that's her finished for the season. We could be tempted by France just as I said that. Probably not. I got a lot of relief this week after Wednesday - my team enjoy it more and my owners enjoy it more and probably our followers. To me it was just pure relief to get back to a challenging position after I thought the whole thing was over after Tuesday after the second-last race. You couldn't make up what happened after that.
Saldier makes it a Grade One double for Mullins
He's a very good horse. His jumping let him down the last two runs but Robbie (Power) sorted that out today. He brushed up on his jumping and Robbie said he jumped fantastically today. I think all these could go to France, we haven't been hard on out four-year-olds this year. They have had a really easy time of it and it has paid off. He will stay hurdling next year. Punchestown is a lucky place for me!
Wounded Warrior puts in a stormer for Flanagan
He is what he is, he's not easy to predict. He ran a cracker and he (Sean Flanagan) said he loved the ground and jumped great. We've been putting claimers on him and he's a big, big, strong fella and going back to Sean probably did him. That's no disrespect to the lads that have been riding him but just a stronger jockey was a help to him. He got a good tune out of him and they couldn't go far enough. I always thought he could be a Grand National horse but obviously that's it for the season as he wants extreme distances and there are no more of them. We'll see what the plans are, I know he would have been very close to the for sale sign before today but he might get a reprieve. We might try him in the Becher Chase in December. That could be a race for him because he's strong and a tough sort.
Meri Devie stays on well to give Mullins a treble
She disappointed me all year. I thought the way she was handicapped she could win a big one but it took Rachael (Blackmore) to get it out of her. She's a good mare. She got very strong this year and I just couldn't get her fit enough. She obviously likes this track. She might go on the Flat.
Mullins finds Passageway to a quad
I hadn't asked him much at home to be honest. He had a little training setback and I told our owner that he would maybe run in May but he did enough to show he could run here. I didn't dream he would win so it was a nice surprise for the connections and for me.
