Ontheground wins Wexford opener
Ontheground liked the ground today . we've had to wait a very long time to get this ground and we had to run him a lot of times on ground he hated. He pulls hard at times so we rode him a bit differently today. The handicapper did him no favours for finishing second here on his last run, he got 9lbs, and we'll probably put him away now because we'll hardly get this ground again. He'll jump fences in time and will jump them well.
Call Rog justifies favouritism
I was hoping he'd do that! He'll probably go for a handicap now or a winners' of one, and being by Beneficial, I'd imagine he would prefer softer ground. I'd say he is an out and out chaser.
Madam the Top mare at Wexford
She likes good ground and hopefully she will stay right. She won a point-to-point and she will eventually go chasing.
Marshim wins, at last!
at last! He is a tough horse to come back after finishing second at Listowel twice and he also finished second here during the summer and fell, when cantering, here another day. He seems to go on any ground but has had little problems and I must thank my vet Chris McGrath. He's a great little horse and we will keep him on the go now.
Cat edges Wexford win
Boleybawn Cat is ground dependent and he is in a handicap at Punchestown on Wednesday so we will see. He is what he is and got lost in the ground the last day.
Double for Townend as Klepht impresses
I'm thrilled because he is an honest horse and he never let us down, he was just unlucky in bumpers. It was great to have the point-to-point experience. He is very big, hurdles would have only got in his way at his age. He likes good ground and that was as short a trip as he would want.
Cailin wins Mares Bumper
she had a lovely first run at Gowran and being by Definite Article, I thought she would like the ground better here. She will go hurdling but she might go for a winners' of one Bumper first.
