Kemboy raises the pulse of his many backers
Supreme Racing were telling me that is there 100th winner with me. Pique Sous was their first runner,. Kemboy improved from his first run and I hope he'll improve again. He jumped great except for being unlucky at the last. Paul lit him up and felt he was going too fast at it. I'd imagine he'll go up in grade and he deserves to go up in grade. We'll keep the good entries open for him and I'd imagine they are keen to travel with him. He won't go to the Dublin festival and we'll see whether he has another run or goes straight to Cheltenham. He would look a JLT horse and looks good enough to go into that.
More Saturday afternoon joy for Rothwell
This season since he's gone handicap chasing nearly everyday he's been in the money,. He won over two miles in Cork and then we stepped him up to two-and-a-half and he was placed twice. It was arguable whether he wasn't getting home or wanted further. He had won over two and I seen this today. We dropped him back and told Adam to make plenty of use of him because he'd stay two really well on this ground. I'm delighted he won.
Dinnie's Vinnie gets "bit of luck" and takes it
Laurina blows away Grade 3 opponents
It looked a very good performance. She's shown me that she's a nice mare at home. In Tramore she did what she did but today looked a bit special to put away some very nice mares on that ground. I don't think she jumped particularly well during the race either. I think her jumping will improve and she can improve again. She's a nice mare to have. It's just experience, she was in behind with a lot of muck coming back in her face today. Paul just reminded me that she got a fright at the first at Tramore and he thought she was just remembering that today and then she settled into jumping. When he gave her a squeeze going to the last she opened up and ended up on top of the hurdle rather than jumping it properly but he was happy other than that. She has size and scope as well. It looks like she'll go for the mares novice at Cheltenham.
Gibney's Play The Game settles from the front to win
It's great to get a win with him. He's got a lot of ability as he's shown on the Flat and indeed over hurdles already,. It's all about relaxation for him. If he settles he's very good. It's great to get a result with him and it'll do him good. I'm not sure where we'll go now.
78/1 Fairyhouse double for Lynch
I knew he had the ability to win it but he was very green,. He hung out to the right in Leopardstown the last day and it was pure greenness. He was hanging out to his left today with Andrew. On his first run in Listowel he ran a cracker. I was a little bit disappointed with him the second day in Clonmel and the last day I don't know what happened, it was just pure greenness. I knew he had the ability to win today. He was very green when he got to the front and hopefully he can improve.
Nowt poor about supporters of Elliott's Hill
It was a low grade race and he was probably entitled to win it off his chase mark,. He's been a great servant and he's done his job today so we're delighted. We'll mix and match it with him and have a bit of fun. He's only seven and he doesn't owe us anything at this stage. He'll get an entry in the Irish National. I'd say he might have been a bit flat last time as I ran him back only a week after the Troytown. He was tired after it for a while so we freshened him up and came back here.
