Amber Kite makes all under Keane
She's a very honest filly and it's easy when they are honest like that. It was seven furlongs there and she'll definitely get a mile and she goes on any ground. She's been busy up to now so we'll just take a little bit of a pull. We'll definitely be hunting for black-type now. Colin thinks she's capable of that because she has the honesty. She'll improve because she was green there making the running.
Kodiac Prince wins at 25/1 for the Clearys
To get two in the one week is great, after waiting so long for one. I'm delighted with him and he has improved since his last run at Leopardstown, hopefully he'll improve again from that. Rory got a good feel from him at Leopardstown and he seems to be progressing, and going the right way. Hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on him now and we can have another day out of him. I'll have a chat with Helena and Matty O'Toole that own him and we'll see what there is now. I can't imagine he'll come back for a couple of weeks.
Five wins on the spin for likeable Kastasa
It was her first run back. She had a very busy and highly successful year last year and the plan had always been to start her today. She'll go for the Stanerra, in about three weeks time, a Group 3 at Naas. The race wasn't really run to suit her there but class is class. She'll improve from that run too. Horses like her usually don't win impressively or by big distances but they keep winning.
Never Forgotten a name to note
It was a nice performance and she has improved. She's laid back, such a relaxed filly, and typical of a Galileo.
Epona earns breakthrough win
She deserved that. She's a grand filly and it's great for Renzo Forni, that's the fourth one of the family I've trained and they've all won for me,. The other two fillies were black-type so if we could try and get this one some black-type before the end of the year as well it would be brilliant. I was trying to be greedy at the start of the year a couple of times but finally she's won and I'm delighted. She's still learning the trade. Billy was happy with her there, he said she galloped all the way to the line and liked that ground so we won't be too worried about the end of the year with her. I think she has enough experience now so we'd only be wasting her in a winners race and might try and nab some black-type wherever we can. She's had three hard races in the last three or four weeks so I won't be too greedy now.
Pugin puts his head in front
Blinkers do the trick for Barrett's filly
.We fancied her in Sligo the last day but for some reason she didn't run her race. She didn't jump or travel and maybe she didn't like the track. We put on blinkers to see if it would buck up her ideas. On her homework it didn't improve her a lot but we said we'd try them. She always worked like she'd win a maiden so I knew she was well handicapped if she put her best foot forward. She's done it today thank God. She can step up in trip. There is a nice race in Galway next Saturday so we'll probably stick her in that and see. With the help of God she might do something similar.
