Townend gets sweet tune from Huckle Buck
I'm surprised he won on that ground because it seems quite soft. We might put him away now because I don't think he's a winter horse. However if the ground stays nice we might continue on. He should make a nice chaser as he is a fine big horse.
Nina gets well-backed Boy home in style
He is a nice little horse. He is an obvious chaser but he's a bit young for fences (has won a point-to-point) and he'll wait until next season for that. Having her ladyship on board is a bonus! I was cocky yesterday but I was the most cowardly man in Wexford today. The first horse I ever trained was for the owner (Andrew Berry) in the early eighties. He is a great patron of the yard.
Copper battles well to follow in mother's hoof-prints
Her mother (Copper Supreme) won here in 1998 on her debut. Her half-brother is Copper Bleu, who finished fourth in the Supreme Novices this year, second at Aintree and won at Punchestown. He is with Philip Hobbs. This mare will go chasing eventually.
Vinnie lands a touch
Siege masters Casey opposition
Tornado takes advantage of Time's departure
He was probably lucky. It's better to be lucky than unlucky. He had plenty of ability over hurdles last season. David said he jumped well. He said they went too fast and came back to him. He has won a race every year since I've had him. It is nice to get a winner for the green and gold! (J P McManus).
Banjo calls the tune
I thought her ground was gone but she handled it well. She might go for a maiden hurdle now. She is from the family of Klairon Davis, so she's bred to be a two mile chaser. She is for sale. We have a yard full of well-bred horses and they are all for sale.
