Katie takes big step forward to land opener
She's a lovely green filly. We've always thought a lot of her and she was very green in Naas. That's what we do with our horses, get them out and then they improve for the run. We knew she'd be better over six furlongs and on better ground. Colin said she got there to win her race and was as green as grass. We'll watch her temperament and won't ask any stupid questions of her. The owners are new owners from America and are important clients. Fingers crossed she could be a special filly for them in races later on. There will be no talk of Royal Ascot. She's a long-term project.
Round Two knockout in Marble Hill
He's everything you would like in a racehorse. I've never had a horse that's as straight forward as he is, and the trip doesn't seem to matter. It doesn't matter where you put him in a race, it doesn't matter how you train him. Nothing matters and I think he will go on any ground. If you wouldn't get excited by him, you just wouldn't be alive.
Mustajeeb sprints to victory in Greenlands
He won a competitive Jersey Stakes last year, and ran a good race in the Breeders Cup. I'm delighted for Sheikh Hamdan as he's bred this horse and he'll be an excellent stallion for Derrinstown. He's put up a great performance against four Group 1 winners in that race. The Diamond Jubilee is the logical follow on for him. He's been working very well, and I thought this was the obvious race to start him off in. He's a Group winner over a mile but Pat has always felt that he's so much pace. We wanted to give a shot over this distance and he's answered the call.
