Maneen mans up for Limerick win
O'Donoghue rides first winner for Harrington
She was good and has improved from last year. She was very unlucky at Dundalk and wants stepping up in trip,. That's Colm's first winner for me and it's great for (owner) Francis Jennings who also bred her and she's from a great family.
51/1 double for Harrington/O'Donoghue
He's a funny horse as he settled great in behind at Leopardstown but didn't settle in front today and was going a bit faster than Colm wanted him to,. He'll go for a mile or a mile one handicap somewhere next and will probably be better in handicaps as he should settle better.
Halpin continues red hot run
That was long overdue as he had about 20 runs in the 90s (ratings) but the penny dropped after two or three years and he eventually got to the 80s where he belongs,. I'm delighted for his owner (Rick Barnes) as he was advised to send him to England to get a chance. He's a great supporter of Irish racing though and it would be a shame if my contemporaries have to send horses to England to get dropped. Finishing second to Dawn Approach (in March 2012) was the worst thing he ever did. Gary (Halpin) is a big plus as his 5lb claim is almost free at this stage.

Smullen doubles up as local fav wins last
It was Pat's first ride for me and he gave him a brilliant ride. Tom Madden was to ride him but he was suspended so when I was offered Pat, I could hardly refuse!,.
